Independent software studio
We build software worth keeping around.
We are two brothers building the tools we wanted to exist — a place to ask and answer questions, a desktop API client, and free utilities that run entirely in your browser.
Products
Four things, shipping today
Everything below is real and usable today. Nothing here is a mockup or a waitlist.
Quizuncle
Questions, discussions or text — share anything
A place to post questions, notes and errors, and get answers. Threaded discussions, hashtags, live search, and Java tutorials with interview Q&A alongside them.
Beacon
A keyboard-first desktop API client
A fast alternative to Postman and Insomnia. Compose requests, script tests, mock APIs and inspect responses down to the TLS handshake — all stored locally.
ToolHub
Free online calculators and generators
A collection of small, fast calculators and generators that run entirely in your browser. No sign-up, no upload, nothing leaves the page.
DevKit
Free text and developer tools
Everyday developer utilities — formatting, encoding, converting and inspecting text — that run in the browser with nothing to install.
Your data stays yours
The tools run locally where they can. Nothing is uploaded that does not need to be, and none of them require an account to be useful.
Fast, and small
Pages that load immediately and apps that respond instantly. Speed is a feature, and it is the one most easily lost.
Built to last
Quizuncle started in 2011 and is being rebuilt from the ground up rather than abandoned. That is the general approach here.
