About

A studio that started with one project

Quizuncle began in 2011 as a Q&A and tutorials site — a first real project, written from scratch in JSP and Servlets against MySQL, without much in the way of help. It worked. People used it. Then it sat still for a long time.

It is now being rebuilt from the ground up on a modern stack, keeping the original's design intent rather than replacing it. The room layout stays; the plumbing is new. That decision — renovate rather than demolish — is a fair summary of how we build.

The studio has since grown to six products: the platform itself, a desktop API client for developers, two collections of free browser-based tools, and two Android apps — one for splitting bills with friends, one for keeping a family's medical records in order. They share a bias toward things that are fast, keep your data where you put it, and do not ask you to make an account before they are useful.

We are two brothers, and this is what we do. More is on the way — if you want to talk about any of it, the inbox is open.
